Over the past six years, I've worked at global agencies and small start-ups alike. In mid-2019, I left my full-time role as a senior writer to pursue a personal goal of mine: travel. I was lucky enough to spend roughly eight months visiting South America, Southeast Asia, and New Zealand—all while freelancing on a part-time basis. The experience opened my eyes: not just to the world (as cliché as that might sound), but also to the possibility of transforming my freelance work into a full-time profession.
